La Bette— a young collector’s horror story turned masterpiece

Years and years ago, when I was a wee collector of around 10 years old, my brother’s friend committed a great crime and chopped the head off of Baby Tiddlywinks (you know how cruel older kids can be). Rather than just removing the head, the plug was completely severed. But I wasn’t going to throw this pony away, no! I’d paid good eBay money for that toy. I kept the parts and bided my time until twelve years later.
