Wow, that's a very creative display! Looks like it took a decent amount of time to make. I hope you are able to make it a bit more secure. (Also the act of heroism is super cute!)

I've fixed it I used Kasin's idea for pipe and it's worked fine I've also added a baton at the bottom to stop it from swinging. I realised a much simpler way to do it though - to get it to be tight I used pins through the chord to hold the shelves up while I pushed the pipe close. I've kept the pins in and the pipe adds some rigidity.

It's a good thing I had them numbered I've also found enough space for the 8 or so ponies that were living in a carry case away from their friends
