Pokémon Go! Lapras and Articuno

I only ever got the one Metal Coat.

All my 10ks are in and they were all gen 2. Mareep again was a pretty good one, I can evolve it. But still. Where, Lapras. Where.

I definitely don't mind that evolutionary items are rare, but they're too rare and only being able to get them, randomly, from Pokestops is crap. I feel bad for players that might only hit a handful of stops per day, or those cases of people who hit a ton of stops and still haven't gotten anything. Leaving it up to RNG is just a slap in the face. I don't doubt that people would pay for the items if they were in the shop (you know...like how in Pokémon games you can buy stones from shops or other evolutionary items with BP). There's money to be made here Niantic, come on...

Like, on the one hand I feel like people will probably tell me to stop complaining because I have 3 evolutionary items and "at least you got something".

Okay, but ALL 3 OF THEM ARE THE SAME ITEM. I feel like that's more than a little frustrating. Especially when I have Pokémon ready to evolve and all I need is literally any other evolutionary item- except an Upgrade. I'm convinced I'll never see a Porygon. So I'm sure this means either I'll get another Metal Coat or an Upgrade next because this game hates me.

To add a little positivity to this post, I did hatch a Scyther the other night so I'm much closer to a Scizor now.

So has anyone heard about the Water Festival? I'm seriously hoping I will finally get a Lapras from this. And maybe get to evolve some of my Wartortles.

I juat read about the event. Totodile is the only one I need from it, since I've only caught one so far, but good luck to everyone still looking for Lapras!

Also, the new update from yesterday makes it so that you're guarenteed a random evolutionary item on your 7th day spin from now on (according to Reddit). I'm honestly surprised they cared enough to do something about that. I hope it's true.

Also, my 7th day spin was today. Perfect timing! I got a Kings Rock and evolved for a Slowking.

I'm loving this event! Like you guys, I'm really, really, really hoping to find a Lapras. And I hope it doesn't run from me if I do . At the beginning of this month I began to work near a marina on an island, and there's an area near me that's full of water Pokémon normally. Today it had many more! I was like a kid in a candy store. I hope, hope, hope a Lapras spawns at least once.

I'm also wearing the Magikarp hat currently, just because it looks so ridiculously hilarious.

I so want one! If I ever got one I'm not sure whether I'd keep it gold or evolve it into a red Gyrados.

Awesome!!! I love your red Gyrados When did you see his shiny-ness? Only once you'd caught him, like a Ditto? Or was he shiny when you encountered him?

Yes, me too! It's great to see so many Magikarp around and, of course, I'm hoping for a shiny one, along with a Lapras. Hope, hope. There are rather a lot of wild Seels in my neighborhood, which never happens; it's just not their biome. And of course there are lots of Squirtles, Totodiles, and Marrills, and a lesser amount of other water Pokémon, like Chimchou, Psyduck, Tentacool, Remoraid and many others. Lots of Goldeen, but I feel kind of bad because I skip over those to save Pokeballs.

I got to play tons of Go today, magikarp seem to be everywhere! (No sign of shinies yet though! ) I got three new Pokemon I've never heard of before, one's a really pretty manta ray! (The other ones were a little fish that evolves into an octopus, and said octopus. ) Slowly getting more and more magikarp, and working my way up to a gyrados!
