Ouch, sun fading is normally the best bet in most cases.. however for G4 ponies it can.. um kind of be iffy... I tried it with a G4 AJ bait base and I might of not had her out long enough but the ink didn't budge.. and depending on the pony and how long it will be left out.. there is a chance for the body to fade in color (apparently this can happen to pink Celestia)

Rubbing alcohol might help some; I don't think I've ever used it on ponies specifically, but I've had pretty decent luck getting Sharpie off other plastic things/toys with it. It definitely can't hurt.

That's great news! ^_^ It probably won't come off completely with the alcohol, but it should at least make it less noticeable.

Initially, I agree, acetone or rubbing alcohol or magic eraser are a good starting point. Get the most you can out with those and then head to sun fading :) Good luck!
