Husband brings home a herd
« on: August 02, 2015, 09:06:21 AM »
EDIT August 6 2015:  So my husband managed to score a giant amount of ponies at Value Village again.  He called me at work to try and describe them but I got frustrated and was like, "Just buy them all!"  Mostly G4 but there are a LOT of them... one could almost say instead of a PC on ponies, I am showing off ponies on a PC!

So you know when you're at the thrift store and you see one of those fakie bags?  And you can't tell quite what is in it, as the staff have wrapped it in a way that you can't really see what is inside?

So here's the label:  visitors can't see pics , please register or login

The bag was $5.99 and I was really questioning whether it was worth it.  I could see tons of little hair things, maybe a legit MLP comb and I could see one G3 eye.  Just the one!  :D  And so I took a chance....

Inside, I found:

Yeah!  Nine ponies!  Clearly someone was concerned with proper advertising!  I wonder who the fakie was who got left out and replaced with Blossomforth?  Ah well...  nearly all of these fakies use G1 molds at some level - I now have a Drink n' Wet mold, more regular baby molds, a MGR fakie with raised saddle marks, and some of the fruit-themed fakies!

Nice looking fakies! :) I'm just wondering why they would pack in rubber bands... :wonder:

Oh that was the original packaging for the fakie pack.  They sold them at Walmart for $6.99 with tons of hair things!  I was surprised to see most of the accessories still in the bag.
Gotta love broken English, hey?  :)

Oh that makes a lot more sense now. I actually thought some charity shop had started labeling their random stuff.

The green and purple ones on the end are particularly pretty. Congrats on your new ponies, beads, rubber bands, etc. So weird that they would take the time to make an inventory.

Not bad for the price. I actually have some of those fakies; my mom found them at Value Village. I have the white one with the grapes, the two little purple ones (I named them Lilac and Blossom) and the little green one.
