I'm a weird one; I much prefer "cutie mark" over "symbol", but somehow, when discussing it in conversation or when describing a pony for sale, I can't seem to bring myself to call them cutie marks. XD

Gonna have to roll with symbol, like everyone said cutie mark has emerged more from G4. Not that its bad just not used to calling them cutie marks.

I tend to call them "designs" since some of them, like TAFs, are too complex to be a "symbol".

I use them interchangeably. I've never really strictly stuck with using one or the other.  :P

I prefer the term symbol.  Cutie mark makes me think of the Animaniacs Movie and just seems too jingoistic.

I call them symbols.  I despise the term "cutie mark".

I always have and always will call them symbol. They've been that since I first got Snuzzle when I was just a little girl and I see no reason to change it now.

I dislike the word "cutie" mark so much ... it sounds stupid to me, like baby speech.
