Can't figure out this g1 unicorn

So I got this g1 unicorn in a bait lot I bought a while back and it is yellow. I mean like really really yellow.... I tried looking on strawberry reef but found no yellow unicorns.

Here she is with moondancer and posey to compare just how yellow she is.

The thing I don't understand is if she was dyed would her eyes still be white?

she's not yellow...she's *yellowed* (ie beige really) with age and sun most likely. she's not dyed, she's just well loved

Yep, I've had yellow Moondancer and she is a brighter yellow than posey.

She may be "sunburned"...I've seen both white and purple ponies get very dark and brownish after they've been left in the sun for a long time. She's kind of cool like that, though!

Holy potatoes! I had no idea that "yellowing" could be that intense. Crazy. Man poor gal, I need to give her some hair and a new life then since she's been so loved. :3

I actually think she is yellow Moondancer. While I agree my yellow Moondancer looks a little more yellow in real life when I compare her to a pony like Posey, the picture they make together looks very similar to this one here. I dont think thats actual yellowing, I think she is the Euro released yellow Moondancer.

Just for reference. A dyed pony can be all the way without looking blotchy. Here is the inside of a moodancer I dyed to a dark orange/redish color (sorry It's been a while forgot the color name of the dye)

I've dyed quite few ponies, so the answer is yes, the white will stay white; especially if you do not remove the paint. Here is the same moondancer, I never had to repaint the white part. The only thing I changed was her eye color to green to match the holly leaf symbol but after she was dyed the white part was still white

hmm weird! Neat stuff about the dye that really cool! Regardless she needs to be cleaned up, and get some hair put on her. I'm not really a fan of the color on her so I dunno what to do, do I rehair her to look like a yellow moondancer or do I make her a Sunset shimmer or what? I dunno I just feel bad cause she's dirty and bald! I just don't know what to do. Does anyone want to trade a different bait for her? Or want her rehaired?

i vote she is the yellow euro version. i had her and she really does look like that. the second pic is a dead giveaway
i have seen discoloured ones and their colour isn't that rich nor consent

She looks too evenly-yellow (rather than tan/beige) to be sunburn. I can't tell how bright she is, nor do I know how yellow Yellow Moondancer should be, but it seems reasonable that she would be Yellow AND discolored if she's not bright enough. Just a thought.

I honestly didn't know there was a yellow moondancer (EDIT: I did once I started to try to figure out who she was), I'm so sheltered when it comes to different color ponies. I'm in the same boat, I dunno what color a yellow moondancer should be or what. I just figured this pony was a pony I couldn't find on strawberry reef.

I think she's just yellowed.  With a true yellow Moonie, you're never asking if she's actually yellow or not, she's YELLOW, lol!
