Single release AJ with a hat

I'm one of the oddballs that actually LOVES the tinsel, so I'd probably buy her for the tinsel alone, but the hat pretty much makes her a definite buy for me. I wanna paint it to match the show!

I'd buy her just for that hat, does anyone know if it's the same as the one from AJ's Barn?

It looks to me like it's the same. Slightly different color, maybe, but other than that it looks the same.

That's a good question. The lighting in the photo makes it look greenish. (That would match her eye colour!) But it could be teal/blue, just like the one from the barn. I'm not complaining, but I wonder why HB didn't make the hat brown - they are, after all, now trying to appeal more to the bronies who like show-accuracy

If you're good with an x-acto knife and don't need another AJ ^ You might waste a hat or so getting the ear holes right but you DO get 10. I bought some a few months back from a more expensive source and was trying to come up with an ear hole pattern I could post along side. The plan failed but, whatever, 10 Applejack sized hats for $3 shipped. Suntek has some awsome stuff.

Really going to have to paint that hat the proper color, though. I know the toys are still mostly geared towards little girls, and, "all little girls love girly colors", but last I checked, AJ's cowgirl hat in the show was tan. XP

At least they did finally give us a small brushable with a hat!

I actually likely will buy her only for the hat sadly. Oh Hasbro, I just don't know if you are finally starting to get things right or are ingeniously finding ways for me to spend more money re-buying ponies I already have.
I don't care about the tinsel/gem eye on this wave at all (glitter/tinsel only really matter to me on the princesses) and I'm actually still disappointed that we may be only getting these instead of those translucent ones but spending $5 to get AJ a hat this way is better than buying the whole barn playset to get it, which I was never able to bring myself to do, I suppose.

Good move Hasbro, I might just hoard a few because of the hat. They should've really made a brown one first though.
