New G1 shirt at Walmart!

So I guess it's like those "I love nerds" and "I love vampires" shirts and whatever else young girls love at any given time.. And the designers just didn't understand bronies are only fans of G4? Looks like a big failure.
I hate it, personally.. I wouldn't even wear it as a night shirt.

On the batman note, there was a Batgirl shirt with her on a motorcycle that read "I get around".

And might I just rant about Tic Tac Toe for a minute...?  *sigh*  She's a TE pony w/rainbow hair - not pink hair and regular eyes.  ><  The eyes don't bother me so much as the hair...

I think the designer just made a mistake with this one though, I don't think it's fair to get so upset. At least I assume 4 pages of rage, I don't wanna check. :c

Naw...not rage.  Just disappointment from both sides.  Would have been tons better if it said "Ponies", or at least had G4's to go w/the "Bronies"

Even a "Hangin' w/my Bronies" would have been better than "I <3 Bronies" (still - G4's would be much more appropriate).

Yeah, but I don't see a big deal about it, just an error pretty much, or just not knowing really, I don't see a problem, just a harmless shirt that made a mistake.

Relax guys.  It's cleary a shirt for the oldschool G1 fans, who happen to be small enough to fit a jr size, and appriciate the next generation fans.  It's a real niche market they're going for.

Anyway, I would totally get it if it said ponies instead of bronies.

And starly, no one's really flaming about it ^_^ - just noting the inconsistency and how it misses both genre's of collectors (for the most part anyway).

I just showed it to my husband and he said it was obviously made for the kids of G1 collectors who married bronies.  More of a future market though.

HAHA!   I see you caught and quoted my Freudian slip there before I realized what I had done and edited it out... I meant to type shirt, but apparently my fingers were not having it.   At least I didn't make the mistake I have been making during typing practice where I keep accidentally rearranging the letters in "this"... I could just imagine me dropping the "r" in "shirt"!

Ugh can I rant about this new G1 style art that's been showing up the past year or so on merchandise? It is HIDEOUS. Every single pony has the same bland smiley expression with no real emotion, just a dumb cow-eyed look. Every face is a stamp of each other. And every pose is pretty much the same, they just move the legs around a bit. The Glory pose doesn't even make sense, she's obviously rearing but they tilted the image and put her in the air with a rainbow behind her...?

And I won't even get into the issues I have with the writing. >.< The art itself is ugh. If they're going to try to mimic G1 art, why not just use the stuff right off the pamphlets and box art? Would have looked tons better.
