I know I haven't been as active here as I have been in the past ( darn non-pony life! ), but I will say this.


Even though there about a dozen or so more new pony sites all over the net because of the new part of the fandom, one thing I have noticed is that only TWO places places feel like home to me as a fan. Two places were members treat each other with respect, a certain level of maturity, love, and an open set of arms, regardless of which generation of ponies you're into.


Those two places?




None other than the ORIGINAL homes for My Little Pony fans of all types!


Here on the MLP Arena, and over on the MLPTP!


Ever since I joined the Arena back in 2004, I've felt nothing but love and a certain kind of togetherness that NO other fandom has ever produced. It's a BIG part of why I happy to say that this place is more of a pony COMMUNITY than just a simple fandom.


So while our community has grown expedentially in less than two years, with new kinds of fans, and all new sites, I know I can always rely on the Arena and it's members, our little community, and be welcomed back home every single time.


It's because of this community that I am where I am as an artist with my studio, it's because of this community that I've made so many friends beyond my small backwards area of New Jersey, it's because of this community that I've found something I love doing and collecting.


The MLP community, through the Arena and the TP, has been WONDERFUL to me!


You all are wonderful, and I thank you so much for bringing me back into your fold each and every single time!

There is a good reason this [and UK PonyCon] are the only sites I visit...its just a lovely, friendly and most importantly safe place!!

Agreed!  The Pony community is the best fandom I've been a part of, and I'm so grateful for the friends I've made through this community - all over the world.

The pony community is so much more than just a fandom, it's friends, it's fun, and it's unlike any other.

it really is a community in every sense of the word, and I am proud to be a part of it!

It's not just the sites that make it amazing, it's the members. The members of the community make it what it is, and we would be nothing without them!

I'm with you Bee-chan. I haven't posted on the Arena for a while now but I still love this site and still lurk quite often. I was looking for a reason to post! LOL
By the way, the new Arena is beautiful! I love it! Nice to see all the new people, too!

We're happy to have ya Bee I agree, the arena is such an amazing place, it's my second home for sure, and I'm so glad to be here the arena has helped me through some tough times and it's been my escape, my sanity, and most of all I've made some wonderful friends here

I've been such a lurker, but have not really disappeared totally. I'm more active on my Facebook account, where some of my old buds from the original part of the community, and some new buds, have been chatting it up. ^w^

You'll catch me mostly in Off Topic and the Pony Corral, then Customs and Pony Art when I have stuff to post there. XP

But yes, it isn't really just the sites that make it, it IS the people on the sites, and well, everyone here on the Arena has just always made this place feel like home.

It's our Ponyville, in a sense! Visiting other places outside of our Ponyville may be nice, but in the end, there really IS no place like home!
