Is it finally safe to order from Dollyhair again?

Hi guys,

I was told by some that they had problems receiving Dollyhair at some point. It's been a while now, and I'm wondering if the site has caught up with orders lately? I've just gotten back into rehairing and I'm missing a few vital colours at the moment, so if there's nothing in particular I need to take note of with Dollyhair, I think I'll want to order my hair there since I know the colours and their names well. Going with another site means I need to figure out colours all over again, which is tough since the colours may fail to match. Thanks!

I read that most everyone's orders were fixed up, so I went ahead and ordered. It'll be another week or two before I get my order tho. My last order I did thru my little customs, it was very quick to arrive with great communication, but the hanks were quite low in weight.

Oic. Thanks for the heads-up! My Sparkler and Argie Powder have been sitting around for years, and for unknown reasons, I decided to try rooting their hair. It got easier and easier (like magic), so now that I have the momentum, I thought I might as well order more hair and fix up all my problem ponies once and for all. It's actually quite therapeutic to rehair ponies. I feel so satisfied seeing my ponies with a new breath of life again. Not some poor mangled pony and constantly being labelled as "custom bait". lol

I've ordered twice from her. The first order didn't go well but she fixed it and the second was fine. I didn't keep an exact day count but it was close to 9-10 days when I got the hair. I'm not sure who my next order will be from since I think my little customs has a color I want that dolly hair doesn't

I've never had any problems with my orders. Always right colours and fast shipping. But lately the hanks have indeed been quite low in weight.. Before I was able to rehair 2 adult ponies with one hank, now its barely enough for one.

I've ordered from her since the fiasco, and while my MLP hank was of a decent size, the 38" hank was pretty underweight. So, if you plan on ordering any different sizes, just be cautious.

Personally I'm boycotting until she adds an estimated gram weight onto her actual ordering page- so I can call her out if they're light again.  I know she posted here on the Arena about QC measures and such she was going to start doing, but until her site changes to reflect that I'm not buying from her anymore.

I ordered from dolly hair awhile and I ordered one of those fine paint brushes for eyes and I never received it. The lady did send a note in the package apologizing and that it would be sent over once she has it but I never got anything :-/

I ordered some hair a few days ago and it arrived today.  The hanks seemed decent-sized although I haven't weighed them.  The Pilot thermal hair is neat!

I ordered from her quite recently and everything was great.  The hanks didn't feel "lighter" (my previous order they were).  I feel good ordering from Dollyhair or Retrodolls.us

You can order from MLC my little customs as well she's based in the UK and gets hair from the same supplier as Dollyhair...thus it's the same.  I'd check them all out and do a price check and see which works best for you!

I am in the same boat. I have watched far too many people be burned by this company. Things might be going smoothly right now, but I'm wary. This has happened in the past where a lot of people were upset and so the owner came and promised better service. Then for a while after that the service was better, but it started to decline again. I personally do not trust my money right now with a business that has had such a shaky record.

Wow....I didn't know there's so much problems going. I think I'll take my chances with Dollyhair this time. If it sucks, I'll sound out!! It's still the cheaper and better option for me. I checked out My Little Customs, but most of the colours I want are out of stock, and the British Pounds converts to almost twice my Singapore dollars to about $6/pk while the US$ converts to only about $4.

Thanks for your opinions guys, it really helps. I'm glad I asked before committing. At least I know what I might be getting into.
