3 G1 Ponies I Rescued & Restored :)

Unfortunately I couldn't get before pictured as my camera was dead.... and I may have forgotten a little bit  :cry:

The story is I got these three from a soggy cardboard box at a carboot sale, mixed in with some GI joes, Mighty max & action man!

They were tailless, moldy, soggy, dirty and covered in pen marks!

After some sun fading, Oxy bathing and acetoning here they are!

With her original mane I managed to rescue, but a new, albeit short tail, that is at least an original G1

Unfortunately I don't have a tail for her as my pony hair is overdue arriving :(
And she's the worst of the lot with some regrind around her head join & feet, there's nothing I can do about!

But overall I'm really pleased with them :)

They will be for sale / trade as I only collect sea ponies, but I had to rescue them anyway, I couldn't leave them for the skip at the boot where all the unsold items go :(

Aw, I think Moonstone looks precious with that short tail. Any tail is better than none at all if you ask me (poor baby Tiddley, lol).

I'm glad you rescued them. Is the skip another way to say garbage? Because that would be so sad if they ended up there.

Its to stop people fly tipping stuff they don't sell, they put a skip there and anything people don't sell that they don't want to take home they dump in there.


...... Yes I can't believe I'm admitting it to the group but I have been tempted to go through it more than once

Awww, they're really cute!  Good job on the restauration! ^.^  I'm starting to think that's one of the things I'm enjoying most about collecting.

Good job rescuing them. And even better for restoring them. It's so satisfying to fix up old beat-ups.
