I just noticed the side of the RaMC box says "Spike! Sold seperately". Hee hee. "Spike!" It sounds so excited.

I think Starflower's probably there as a stand-in for the RaMC rainbow pony? I guess cause she was in Catrina. That's all I can think of.

Why would hasbro have added the word "brand" to the old mlp logo/name you think? Seems so random and unnecessary.

I'm convinced that if the G1 retro stuff continues, it's more likely to follow the blind bag line, as BF have a lot of experience in that area and theyre the kind of things that will sell well.

The Celestials...argh will need at least one MIB, won't I.

Yeah, I assume it's just easier/cheaper/whatever to use one of the designs they've already done (I dunno how this stuff works but I assume they have to run things past Hasbro, I don't think they'd just get blanket permission to redo any/all G1 characters.. if that makes sense). You'd think they'd use Confetti cause she's closest in design to the RaMC pony, but I think Starflower was the only rainbow pony to appear in the cartoons? So maybe they wanted to stick with the 'toon theme... or yeah maybe someone on the team just liked her. :B

Yeah, I was gonna say, Confetti would've been more logical if they wanted to represent that pony, but I suppose it probably went down to 'we need one more, how about you choose the one you like best and we'll add it to the line'...? among the staff office.

Correcting myself, I remembered last night Skydancer was in Catrina too.

I wonder if they used Starflower over Confetti for balance reasons? Since they're already doing Glory, Moondancer AND Gusty, maybe they thought another white pony would be overkill. Not that it really matters, of course.. just fun to speculate :B I'm happy Starflower made the cut, she's not a pony you see in merch very often.

Hmm... maybe the Basic Fun Starflower was really popular?  Or maybe she really was a staff favorite.
