Don't think I'll stop completely but my collecting has been at a big standstill for maybe a year. Not sure if I got any ponies in 2021 tbh and I haven't this year though I still definitely enjoy MLP. Half Price Books has a lot of Funko Pops and sells some used figures so maybe ponies will show up there sometime. Definitely would love to see more of the Funko MLP vinyl figures rather than the Pops.

I don't ever see my self completely stopping but there may be points where I would have to take a break from ponies because life gets weird I currently only collect g1s and g4s and I am not sure if I want to expand into other gens or not I quite like g2s but the prettyer ones such as copper glow get a bit pricey as for g3 I don't really like most of them with a few exceptions (a lot of g3 pegasi have really pretty colors) I am mostly concerned about spreading myself too thin because I only have so much money I can spend on ponies

This the first time I took a break from collecting. I have alot going on with me right now. I do still love my ponies. I move them around sometimes in my pony room. I have stopped with the g3s and g4s. Im focusing on G1s or HQCG1s and throw in the 35ths and I think I have more things to colllect.

With G5 new I decided not collect them. Simply not my style.
As for g4, I am not collecting everything from it since I also lack of space. So for me it will be collecting G1 to g4 whatever I miss.
Also a lot to upgrade so yeah, there is enough to collect :)

BlackCurtains I love that you focus on orange ponies - you've seen my avatar, right?

Yes! You collect Applejacks, I assume? I do too :) I'd like as many G1 as I can afford. So far I just have Italy AJ, she was also my first Nirvana. I'm really hunting for the CP UK one and the curly haired one.

probably not. even if i complete my non-nirvana g1 collection there will always be more Nirvanas to find. and there are so many g3s and g4s that i don't have.

I only add about two ponies a year so I don't know if that means I'm almost done or have a long way to go.  :P

Yes, if there's an AJ version of anything, then I need it  She was my first ever pony as a child so she will always be very special.

From memory, I have the UK version, the short-haired US version, Italian AJ, Venny squeaky butt AJ, Stranger Things AJ, Peruvian AJ, a white Colombian AJ, a Happy Meal AJ, G4 AJ (a few different ones), G3 AJ....and probably some I've missed!

Still looking for 35th anniversary Basic Fun AJ - she seems very elusive!

That's a nice army! I forgot I also have the Stranger Things AJ and multiple G4s. I want the Hallmark ornament too.

Aww, well I hope you find her soon, and all the other ones you want!  :)

Probably not due to the sheer amount of ponies available. Even if My Little Ponies stopped being produced altogether, I'd have so much to collect still, not to mention that some ponies are very expensive and I'm only willing to spend so much on a single pony. I guess I'd just have to hope to come across them cheap.

I only want a few more that I've been searching for. I always knew once I had all my "grails" I'd be done.
But who knows what Basic Fun is cooking up and how long they'll be making the retros.

Nah, I shall collect ponies forever! They really help with my struggles in life by being therapeutic, fun, and rewarding to collect especially rare ones!
There are times when it brought me to happiness tears when I’m watching a cartoon, commercial (mainly the vintage ones), listening to the songs, reading the comics, or just holding a pony! So no, ponies forever!

Interesting question! I pretty much stopped actively collecting years ago. That is to say, I no longer search for ponies (in shops or online), but if I come across a nice G1 at a car boot sale, I'll get it if the price is good.
