Is Napper throwing up glitter on my lamp?

So I have a mushroom lamp on my nightstand, and there's a shelf with ponies right above it. This morning I discovered some goldish-yellow dots on my lamp. My husband has exactly the same lamp on the other side of the bed, and there are no dots on it. Napper is right above the lamp (she was leaning over before, on the picture she was already moved a little to add more ponies), could it be that she is spilling glitter?

There's definitely room for more glitter on her nose, so it's possible that there's some missing, but I honestly don't know. She's not sticky or anything. Or am I seeing things and are the dots just fly droppings or something, and is it a sheer coincidence that it's so close to Napper? Help?

And thanks everyone for the replies so far! It's really weird. It could be from a spider, but I can't find any other traces at the moment, maybe there was one before and I just didn't notice. There's no loose glitter in the house, no G4 either.

I didn't think it was likely either (the Napper thing), but I heard about glittery G3 ponies where the glitter just "runs out", so my alarm bells went off.

Maybe she was playing with the pony talcum powder. You did leave her with it unsupervised

What we can take away from this thread: don't leave your wine glass on your beside table with napper unsupervised!
jokes aside, I agree with the spider/fly theory. Or the specks could have been there when you bought the lamp, just didn't notice them before, perhaps? Or are the specks perfectly hexagonal? glitter tends to be hexagonal or square. I find it highly unlikely she'd be leaking/thowing up glitter tho, she would be sticky/melted looking for sure in the muzzle area, wouldn't she? I understand the concern tho :S

Could Napper have a food allergy? I would recommend an elimination diet to rule out a lactose or grass allergy...

Those specks sort of look like the mysterious white dots that have occasionally appeared on my things (for instance, on old origami folded ages ago and left untouched on a shelf for a long time.) I can sometimes scrape them off with a thumbnail. I don't know what they are or where they come from.

I agree. Never leave napper unattended with drink, food, glitter, lamps, other ponies, spiders (god save us) or anything really. Sill though, I am curious as to what this could be. I sometimes do find this stuff around the house, but I just thought it was a house thing. Perhaps all our ponies are possessed by glitter demons?  THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPARKLE COMPELLS YOU!
