We went to the county fair today. It was hot and miserable, but I ran into my uncle, aunt and cousin there, who I haven't seen in years, and who live out of state! I was supposed to have lunch with my uncle and aunt a year ago in March, along with my mother, but it was the Friday that everything shut down due to the virus and we had to cancel. My uncle was given a terminal diagnosis several years ago with a prognosis of 5 years, and when the lunch got canceled I was worried that I might not ever see him again. I was so happy that we had this serendipitous meeting today! They had their grandchildren with them (from their other son, not the cousin who was with them), so they and my son got to go on some rides together. I wish it wasn't so hot and we could have talked in a less chaotic setting, but it was still so good to see them.

I was able to save up money to purchase my first Breyer model horse in over 5+ years. I hadn't been in the hobby due to moving, getting married, being in a horrible job and quitting said job and school. And I finally broke down after being so depressed and thought what used to make me happy? What brings me joy to get me back to being me? And I used to collect them when I was a very little girl and I was so happy being in the hobby and meeting all the wonderful people. Buying a new Breyer has made me so ecstatic and I can't wait to check my mailbox and get him in the mail! I also came back to the forums I have been in for such a long time.

I've got a new bike!   I'm lucky to have a friend who gave me the final push, I've been practically without a bike for about two years now simply because I've been too lazy/overwhelmed to have my old one(s) repaired, or even a flat tire fixed... Well, it was about time to buy a new one anyway, I got my previous bike when I was 12 years old, lol! I've also got my sister's old bike, that one is from the early 2000s, too.

It will be so much easier to get around the town now!

In just over a week I'm going to be staying at my girlfriend's house for a few days, and I haven't seen her in person in over a year and a half due to the pandemic. I'm so happy about it, I can hardly believe that I'm really going to see her :')

I finished the coffee I was drinking and had three Starbucks dark roasts to choose from; Caffè Verona, Sumatra and French. I went with the French since it said it has a smoky flavor and I like that. It's delicious! I'd like to branch out and start grinding my own beans and try other brands and flavors but I need to drink these three bags first.

I joined a coffee group on FB a while ago, and most people there don't like Starbucks and say it's over roasted and burnt. So I'm eager to try new things. I do like dark roasts though and mocha.

Getting a Goblin shark plush & a Frilled shark plush from a seller who has a load of sea creature plushies for sale. My bank may complain but Bakana will be happy xxx

Turns out the week-long rain I complained about in the other thread was a bit of an exaggeration, and the forecast updated with several clear intervals.

I got a lot of Artfight work done yesterday! I only have a few drawings left and I'll be all caught up on my revenges

I bought a bunch of fresh fruit! I've got oranges, nectarines, kiwi, cantaloupe, green grapes, bananas. I also got some local corn, baking potatoes and onions. Aside from frozen berries and bananas I haven't had fruit in a long time. Healthy snacking, here I come

I had a guy over this morning to install my apartment complex's new wifi network thingy, and the boldest of my two birds kept flying over to sit on him He jumped a bit but was okay with it, though I didn't want her to poop on him so I promptly removed her. Lol.

Had my vet confirm that her ear infection appears to be cured so I don't have to grab her to apply medicine anymore. Knock on wood!

Drove past a house down my road, it has a pink painted trellis.

Today, I saw the owner for the first time ever - she had baby-pink hair, a long, turquoise cardigan, purple skirt & was living the Animal Crossing life!

It was so cheerful to see

No smiles, but rather laughing so much that tears flowed from my eyes!

My brother’s kids (girl 9 years old and boy 10) were with us all day and we played with toys (Barbies, ponies, plush toys).
The play went so insane that even the boy said that no one this age is playing such nonsensical games as we are now playing! 

We had a bandit gang which included plush toys: a crocodile, badger and hedgehog. They took over the police station owned by the ponies. They released their owl buddy from prison. After that, they planned to rob the bank. The play was interrupted and it will continue tomorrow when they come again for us for the day. Phew!

I went to the park and ran into a man who was out for a stroll with his African grey parrot in a bird harness! I'm usually not one to talk to strangers, but I can't resist when I see either a) my favorite dog breed, or b) a bird! So I told him his bird was lovely, and we stopped and talked about birds for a bit
