I stalked her.

I was about nine years old and she was on the orange stall at my Dad's school fete. She cost 30p (about 50cents) and they would not let me buy anything until the fete opened properly. So I stood by the orange stall and glared at the people there until the fete opened.

Gypsy was probably the first thing they sold that day. She was second hand but a much loved childhood pony after that.

And this is her I have a certain amount of pride in her because she flaunted the 'rules' about early unicorns and coloured mane streaks.

I always loved her as a character because she had some great fun stuff going on in the comic with her special magic:

She was never on my want list until the day I bought her "by mistake".
Seeing her in person I absolutely fell in love and she is one of my most favorite ponies ever! <3

She's okay. I wouldn't pass her up if I came across her and she certainly is unique.

Gypsy is among some of my fave G1 ponies - I remember buying her with my earnestly-saved pocket money from the little toy/stationery shop next door to the big Waitrose that my Mum did her shopping at... (I miss that toy shop - it is a coffee shop now!) 

She is *very* pretty in-person. Her white freckles, purple glitter tambourines - a sweet contrast to her orange hair/body.

Oh yes, and the MLP comics (bought at that exact same store, too!)

This post is hugely nostalgic for me!

I think she's elusive for some people because she truly is a UK pony. I don't think she was sold anywhere else. Maybe Australia...?

I have her!! She's one of my absolute favourite G1s - there's just something about her. Plus I LOVE her name, and her freckles!! I love ponies with freckles She's so beautiful.

Want! Of course because she's pretty, but mostly because I remember a story about her in a G1 comic. I don't remember the exact story, but I do remember being enchanted by it because it was a very mysterious story. Something about Gypsy going after a coin, and lying in a ring of something (trees? coins? mushrooms?) later. Or am I mixing things up now?

She's on my want list and has been for a while - such a lovely pony! I really like her tambourine symbol as well, it makes me want to bust out some folky jams!
