What if the Loving Family baby brother / sister had had reversed hair?

If you compare, for example, Baby Brother Sweet Celebration with Baby Sister Sweet Celebration, they have the same hair color: pink with a green streak.  But if you look at their UK backcard, they are shown with one baby having mostly Mommy's hair color and one with mostly Daddy's hair color.

Who else wishes they'd actually made them like this?  I think it would be so cute if Baby Sister Apple Delight had mostly red hair with a yellow streak, while the boy had the same hair color as usual (yellow with a red streak.)

I wish that they had made them that way, it is also weird that the UK would flip their hair color like that, almost like they thought that it would look better that way, too.

Probably was easier on production to make them the same but I love the swapped hair in the art.

Whoa, I must have that backcard somewhere (I have one from each set of ponies, thanks to my mum being very forward seeing!) and I've never noticed that before.

It looks so cool! If I ever find doubles of the appropriate ponies, I am SO going to do hair reversals on them *plots* mind you, I'd also have to find the other ones so I could put a stripe in the tails of the ones that don't have to have mane changes. this could get expensive

I like the swapped hair! I've always thought this set was a little meh, but the swapped hair makes them look so much cuter and more interesting.

As soon as I saw the thread title I knew this was about the UK artwork!

I agree, the reversed hair would have been better. I sort of expected it if I was honest, from how they were drawn. I had baby sister sweet celebrations, baby brother bright bouquet and the playpen and duck set for these so I never had two of the same family to compare as a child. Only when my sister got her second hand sister bright bouquet did I realise.

But then the art is cleverer than the release overall. It's genetically gendered. Europe for whatever reason added one baby to each family but the other baby is the same as the US. The US release gave dominance to mother's pink over father's green in the sweet celebration boy, because they were only having one baby and he only needed to have both colours. Europe would have had to change both babies in that set to make that work, and that's unnecessary cost. So they didn't bother.

At least that;s my assumption. Still a shame though.

Yay!  I have this family, it is my first of now 2 and I got the daddy in the wild.

Am I seeing that right, there is a second baby for this set???  I must have him/her!!

One idea would be to increase the number of baby ponies and have alt rehairs that matches the backcard as additional siblings.
