Who is the best/scariest G1 villian

Grogar is easily my favorite.  He had a good plan and definitely came across as a more clever villain.  Plus ponies waging guerilla warfare is just ridiculously awesome.

I think what makes Tirek stand out to me most is the fact that he makes it very clear that he is willing to anything to accomplish his goals and if someone gets in his way or doesn't succeed in the task he's given them, Tirek will simply have them or someone they care about executed and move on. Also the fact that he mercilessly had the ponies captured and turned them into dragons.


Grogar scared me as a child when he appears in Megan's dream when Ribbon is trying to tell her the unicorns are trapped in Tambelon and he shows up suddenly ending Megan's dream.

Though, we should also remember the villains for the other media of G1.  The comics had an even bigger pantheon of baddies.

And we cannot forget the greatest MLP villain to have ever existed.  The bad man who wanted to make steal the Rainbow ponies hair to make colorful wigs to sell to rich people in...New York City.  The likes of such a fiend have never been seen since.

If we're talking antiheroes, Majesty from the comics is easily my favorite.  She was just SAVAGE.

I'm not as familiar with the characters from the comics, but feel free to discuss any G1 villain/antiheros etc... 

I always thought the Jewel Wizard enslaving the Twinkle Eye ponies and forcing them to work in the mine was a little scary.

Although his clothing is, um, not that scary.  (A cloak with hearts on it, amazing.)  But I do like his goat ears and horns.

He also has a castle with a moat full of sharks.
