I was just scrolling through fb and saw an ad for Hascon! Hasbro's first convention, coming next year. I came over to the Arena to see if anyone had any information about it.

It's being held in Providence, RI? Hmm that's actually not too far from me! I mean it would be a full day of travel but I wouldn't need a plane ticket. I dunno, I'll have to do more research and find out what will go on there. But sounds interesting! I dunno if I've ever heard of one toy company doing their own con.

Well, I'll most likely be going! I live like maybe 20 minutes away. The last time I attended the Fair was when in 2011 when it was in Pawtucket and I regularly attend RI Comic Con.

I've only been to two MLP Fairs and both have been in Rhode Island.  My pal Firefly brings me and we attend together.  I'm with Wardah in that the last MLP Fair in Rhode Island was in 2011.  I mean, I know Hasbro does lots of other toys, but I want to know what they'll be doing for MLP.  I personally would rather go just to see the MLP stuff if they have anything.

I'm guessing from the description- that it will be aimed at little kids. I went to a "Hello Kitty Friendship Festival" and it had "characters" and stuff you could buy- it was a little goofy but cute. I loved all the Hello Kitty stuff!

But I LOVE the idea of exclusive toys!  I'm sure MLP would feature heavily since it is such a moneymaker for Hasbro these days...

Well the description also mentions fans. I'm thinking some of it might be aimed at older fans but also nothing that would be objectionable to a family audience. Similar to how the Pony Fair is family friendly but there's plenty for the grownups.

Honestly, I feel rather apprehensive about it. I just don't see it going well given how people have said Hasbro reps act at the Fair, like the fans aren't worthy of knowing anything and they have absolutely nothing to tell us. I'm pretty sure they treat Transformers fans better though so I dunno. Maybe there's hope, but I don't have any.

I'm worried about more "exclusives". Thankfully most of the G4 ones have been total disasters (and technically the only one I love is still a disaster) so I don't feel like I have to worry about missing anything, but I worry about what horrors they'll create if there's a pony...
