Walgreen's!

I didn't see whether this had been mentioned, so I thought it worth posting for those of you who have Walgreen's in your area...

Anyway, I stopped by a Walgreen's before coming home today, and they had loads of stuff on major clearance! I got several of those Girl Scout wafer biscuits (the Peanut Butter Pattie and Thin Mint kinds) for 29 cents each, and I also got these:

The Monster High Frightmare was only $1.29! They had a bunch of Flara Blaze, too, but I already have one of her, so I only got this one. They had a fair few of Flara, though, so if anyone else collects those and needs her, I wouldn't mind picking one up if they're still there later!

They had a fair few left of the CMM Nurse Redheart - $2.99! I feel lucky they still had that old stock Nurse Redheart...I never picked her up when I first saw her when she was released, and regretted it ever since. She's such a precious looking pony! Her design always felt vaguely reminiscent of G1 Sundance to me. 

There's another Walgreen's near me, so I plan to check it before I go to the gym later and see if they have anything else good!

So I checked another Walgreen's, but they didn't have ponies or MH on clearance, so maybe it's just some locations. I hope everyone else who checks has good luck!

what a steal! i just called my dad and hes going to stop by our local walgreens on the way home since hes out and about already hopefully ill be as lucky as you! if the search goes well ill let you guys know

It sounds like it may just be your local Walgreen's, but that is awesome in any case! Finding wonderful clearance deals is one of the best things. I'll have to check my Walgreen's, just in case. I already have Nurse Redheart, though; got her at Christmastime to give to someone and then decided to keep her for myself since I found out they'd like another one more and I wanted her so badly for over a year. Heh.

Awesome finds and deals!   I've always found that drug stores tend to carry older stock toy merchandise way longer than most retail department stores perhaps because maybe they simply get overlooked and don't tend to sell as fast. I remember once I found a G3 Bee Bop in an Osco Drug and that was long after they'd stopped making her. I always loved frequenting drug stores for pony hunts for that exact reason. They're usually a LOT more money than in say, Wal-Mart etc so that was the only draw back. You scored some amazing steals though so congrats!!

Awesome finds and deals!   I've always found that drug stores tend to carry older stock toy merchandise way longer than most retail department stores perhaps because maybe they simply get overlooked and don't tend to sell as fast. Yes! I remember noticing that when G3 was still in stores...I bought Tangerine Twinkle and Chocolate Chipper both at a CVS, because I was starting to see them less and less on shelves, and I didn't want to regret not getting them while I could. They were definitely a little bit more than if I'd bought them at a Walmart or Target, but oh well.

It's a shame it seems to have only been that one location with the crazy clearance deals! I have been wondering since I left the second one I checked whether someone had mismarked a lot of items that weren't actually meant to be on clearance, lol but I certainly won't complain!
