Anyone ever try this?

In the model horse world to whiten a yellowed area or yellowed model they often will take paper towel and dampen it with bleach and then lay over the area you want whitened.  You of course check on it often and replace as the paper towel starts to dry out.  Anyone ever try this on a white pony to remove those lovely pink "highlighter" marks you find em with?  We found a few G1's and one is going to be an upgrade to one we have if we can remove the pink from her back leg.
