I have to go for the South Africans, I simply can not afford to spend a month salary on a pony.
Other expensive ponies are more within my reach if I get the funds for them one day.

I would probably have to say something EXTREMELY rare or expensive, like a Takara, Rapunzel, or a prototype pony. Or maybe one of the artist-made Pony Project ponies!! Oh, there was this one, super-pastel pony... sigh!!

It's not that I wouldn't have the opportunity to buy one, but they've never shown up for me at, say, a garage sale. It's hard for me to logically say, "Ah yes, Rapunzel, I'll toss down $700 for her!", even if I DID have the money!

(A giant blank G3 is a different story, because I would pretty happily shell out $200 for her, if I had the cash when she came up for sale! That's a lotta pony for $200! )

First thing that comes to mind is a lot of the MOs. I'm slowly working my way through the US ponies... I think I'm down to like 36 or 37 left. I need a ton of upgrades which I might need to work on before going after the expensive ones.
