Thanks everyone! Maximus has settled in very well with us, so I'm a little sad that we have to leave him for a few days next weekend for a small trip we're going on. Luckily we have an awesome friend who loved helping us out with our first ferret, so he's going to come over a few times a day while we're gone to check on Maximus.
