Lousy Kingsday!

For the first time in my life, I haven't found ANY ponies at the kingsday markets. I can't believe it...

This has NEVER happened before. For those who don't know; on kingsday (formerly known as queensday) there are fleamarkets everywhere in The Netherlands, and it's mostly toys, too! It's THE THING of the year for pony collectors! It's pony heaven usually! But the weather is awful, there's storm, rain, hail... So most people got scared off, there was almost no one/nothing there.

So how's the pony luck in the rest of the country? I sure hope it's a lot better than here! Anyway, I'm going on a pony shopping spree online now, because I can't have a kingsdag without new ponies. That's just unthinkable.

Nothing here as well. Barely any stands. Hopefully my mom finds some.... I never have any luck...

Sorry to hear that. I was actually going to go over to the Netherlands for King's Day this year, but didn't have the time. Better luck next year, to you and maybe to me!

You really didn't miss anything this year, I've never seen such a sad fleamarket.  I hope so too! Hopefully the weather will be much better next year. Because under normal circumstances it really is a pony paradise!

Turns out my mom did find 3-4 G3's some fakies and a lare so soft. From what I saw it was at least a G3 Valentines Pinkie.

Well this has been the saddest Kings Day for me too G3 and G4 practically all of them for my trade box. Ponyqueen was also with me and got herself few G2, G4 and bought all those common DVD's with the episodes
We haven't seen a G1 at all and really hoped to find something special.

It's yet to be warm enough here for flea markets...though the one I've gone too since I was a kid says it's starting up this Sunday. I usually have good luck finding ponies there, but will see. So far I've only found one G1 MOC...aaaaaaaaaaand might've used up all my luck for the year on that find alone.

That holiday sounds amazing though!  I collect a ton of toy brands, omg I wonder if there were any Digimon or Pokemon toys at those markets!? We need a national holiday like that here! National Flea Market day or something.... the flea markets in my area really bum me out- its all people selling their burlap and wood crafts or house decorations no one wants x(

This was my best kings day ever!    I got to hang out with barnacle lady in Amsterdam, and shop, and eat Dutch snacks, and party with the Orange people in dam square, and run to catch the train both ways, and then hang out with aly!

I found a small few G3 and G3,5 items but honestly it was dire pickings this year, and I was all through Rotterdam city which I hoped would be lucky! I even went to another market afterwards, but alas it wasnt the luckiest of pony days for me either x
