Sorry everyone, I've been super busy this week!

I'm still trying to find out the most efficient way of organizing this while keeping it as simple as possible and not dragging on for too long. The main goal, as always, is to have fun! Here is what I have so far:

Week 1: Everyone submits their entries for ALL countries in one thread. We should have a limit to the amount of entries each user is allowed to submit. I think three is fair. Once the week is up, we will see where we are at with entries. If there is just one Brazilian entry, then that entry will be the finalist for the Brazilian category. In cases where there are multiple entries per country, we would run a separate poll to determine the finalist. I'm thinking we'd leave each poll open for 3 days. So in total, it should take us only 10 days to come up with the 17 finalists.

Week 2: First challenge. One week to submit. Poll open for 3 days (voters may vote for us to 5 contestants per challenge). All contestants move on to the next challenge.

Week 3: Second challenge. One week to submit. Poll open for 3 days (voters may vote for us to 5 contestants per challenge). All contestants move on to the next challenge.

Week 4: Third and final challenge. One week to submit. Poll open for 3 days (voters may vote for us to 5 contestants per challenge). Winner (highest total number of votes for all three challenges) announced at finale.

Of course, some rules will be needed. My suggestions:

- For Week 1, each user may submit up to 3 entries for any country or countries. Any member of the Arena may enter. There are no exclusions.

- The goal is to have one user represent one contestant. In cases where multiple contestants are entered for multiple counties, winning those polls does not necessarily mean you will represent all three contestants in the final. You will be guaranteed at least ONE. So, for example:

Member A enters three ponies: Italy, Spain, and Argentina
Member B enters two ponies: Spain and Argentina
Member C enters three ponies: Spain, France, and Italy

Now, let's say that Member A wins in the polls for all three countries. Member A cannot represent all three in the contest, so Member A must decide which country they would like to represent. In this example, let's say that Member A decides to go with Argentina. In that case, the runner-ups for Spain and Italy will get a chance to represent those countries. It sounds complicated, but I think everything will fall into place once we receive entries. I can keep a spreadsheet to have everything organized. Due to participation, or lack thereof, there may be some users with more than one country represented in the competition. But this would only happen if we did not have enough entries for each country to be represented by a different user.

- No asking for people to vote for any particular contestants (including yourself) via any forum or message system, public or private. It defeats the whole purpose of the game when votes are skewed in that way. You may, however, link to the competition and encourage friends to vote. But specifying WHO to vote for is not OK.   

- A country will not be represented if we do not receive an entry for it.

- Only adult females will be entered at this time. No males or babies. If this is a success, perhaps we can have a separate contest for them in the future.

Lastly, I think the challenges should be listed at the start of the competition. This will give everyone a full month to get their entries in order at their leisure. For the entry challenge, I think a photo of the contestant containing some facts (name, occupation, favorite this and that) should be included. For the three challenges, I'm not sure. Let's brainstorm!

This is more of a "members-run" contest, so getting feedback and working together to come up with the best solutions is ideal. There are no judges, no eliminations - just a month of Nirvana fun!

This sounds really fun! I only have access to one of my nirvanas right now, but I'll enter her for sure if I can. I like the idea of having a list of challenges in advance so we can be sure we can compete. For instance someone's ponywear may be in storage, or they may not have any, or they may need extra time to prepare a written piece if they have lots of work/school commitments, etc..
