PC Sea Sparkle Baby Sea Ponies
« on: March 30, 2016, 05:37:41 PM »
I was wondering what the normal going rate is for the ponies in this set? I'm looking to buy, not sell. They seem to be going for a lot more than I thought they were worth on eBay.

Dipper
Wavy
Surfy
Sea Breeze
Salty
Sea Spray

Hold off for a little bit.  I got caught up in bidding wars trying to complete this very set.  Thankfully I never won those bids.  There were a couple of bidders who had more money to spend than me and the two would get into bidding wars on the sea sparkle babies (going for the upper $100's/low $200s).  I looked up what little I could, and they both had quite a few retractions too.  I haven't noticed either one of them bidding on this set recently so hopefully the prices will start to come down.

Their prices are really high right now! They used to sit around 12-15$ mark but recently have been $20-30 mark and I've seen some on eBay go for some crazy prices lately! I'm still looking to complete this set myself, and while they are a bit htf, I do not think they warrant their current prices in my opinion!

I think it's because they're the only set with a really limited range of countries where they were sold. All the other sets had some global release availability, but I'm pretty sure the seasparkles were only available in North America. Might be wrong on that but I think it's the case.

Add that with the fact they are very pretty, and prices go a bit mad. But I saw a Wavy recently for a really mad price. Don't get caught in a bidding war. Look for a decent BIN or a pony hidden in a lot or wait it out for a bit, for sure.
