What are these?
« on: March 15, 2016, 10:27:27 AM »
I have a few pony's I can't identify.

The little pink one is the only one with Hasbro ('89). She is very small and has a little 'diamond' in her eye. One is unfortunately missing and the marking is a bit fading on one side.

Are there collectors for those pony's? And if so, for how much will they sell?
I got those in a lot with some other pony's and would like to sell these so that I have a bit of money back :) .

The top are either Remco brand fakies, OR the fakies of Remco. Then you've got a real g2 baby, and Lanard brand fakies. You've also got a couple other fakes scattered in there. None of the fakies are worth much and only sell for a couple dollars almost I'm afraid, though there are collectors who would be interested.  :)

The G2 baby is Baby Honeyberry.  I have no idea on her value missing the eye jewel and all.

Aww! The G2 baby is so cute! I don't have any of those. I  Remco fakies. Found some the other day with their rainbow charm necklaces and those really brought back some memories.

Fakieeeeees!

Yes, they are fakies.  There are collectors who "collect" them I suppose, but only a very very very few fakies have any value-  the one that has big teeth for one.  Not these ones I'm afraid.  I think they are worth $1 a piece at most- if you are lucky enough to find someone who wants them.

Some cute fakies there! I'm a big fan of Lanards in particular. :) And it's cool how the G2 baby ended up in there.

Ohhh yeah.  :P The ones I can think of off the top of my head are the Remco fakes (much lower quality than actual Remco ponies) and the fakies of the Tara Pony Luv ponies.

Well, you get fakies of fakies when the Fakie Company sells their molds to Another Fakie Company.  And sometimes they mix up the molds they have from different toys, and you get Yet Another Slightly Different Fakie.

The molds wear out as they are used to cast the vinyl, so often they are re-making molds and disposing of the older ones.  If YOU knew you could make personal profit on your "off time" in the factory by scooping the older molds out of the trash (or paying your boss for them!) and "making ponies, lalalala", can you easily see how Fakies are Made in China?  :-p

I can see some of them are fakies! I have seen them in cheap stores and some of them are definetley fakies but very cute! I think with some touch ups they would look preety good in a display case even if they are not original!  :accomplished: :lovey: Give those ponies some love!!!!

As others have said fakies can be a hit or miss - they dont tend to hold much value - sometimes you wll get someone happy to pay a cople of $ and other times people may wish only to pay postage code. Your Baby Honeyberry will be $6 with her gems, she may drop to 1/2 that if they are missing.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
