Is the mane and tail length the same or are they short too?
I actually had a Boysenberry Pie that was just like this. From what I hear, this can be an effect of plasticizer breakdown. When the chemical that makes the vinyl soft leeches out, it leaves the pony hard and, from what I've heard, it can actually cause shrinkage. I have another pony, Curly Locks, that is getting rather hard, and she seems a bit more compact than usual. Can anyone back this up?
OH OH I CAN BACK YOU UP REANNA! It is indeed from the plasticizer leakage (which is also why she's rock hard). You can force this process with acetone (it can be used to shrink Monster High doll heads as seen here: http://www.dirili.com/mh/shrinkop.htmlI've been wondering if it would shrink a pony also (as they're a similar soft vinyl), and I'm glad you both have anecdotal evidence for it, as it makes perfect sense. Now the exact chemical process I'm not sure on (I didn't make it past Intro to Chem 3 in college), but this seems to be the culprit!
