Eek, it looks like I'll be involved in the Pokemon swap that will likely be starting in April. I want to do this swap, too... but I may vote for a low-ish budget (maybe $20) just because I would likely be doing two swaps at the same time. I'm still really excited about this swap, though.

$20 is fine with me. Is the swap for multiple collections, just one, or does it matter?

The swap will be whatever other collections you have. For example, my other collection would be Disney and I would have disney items on my Wishlist. You could definitely have multiple collections on your Wishlist. But the person I am shopping for may have a Pokemon collection or may collect foxes. So you won't necessarily be shopping for someone with the same collection as you.


Cyberunicorn and I were thinking a $25 budget with an additional $5-10 for extras. Some collections require a little larger budget (disney especially) so that's why we liked $25.

@ Mkia9 That budget sounds about right for this kind of swap. Some collections can be more pricey than others. I wonder what types of collections we'll see people list this year. Last year's swap seemed to have participants with a wide range of likes. I wasn't in that one, but I tend to follow any group swaps going on regardless.

I'm completing one private swap, I'm in the middle of another, and I have my eye on several group swaps that are getting ready to start / being planned. I'm actually really ahead right now money-wise (yay), so this looks like something I will likely join once it gets set up. I have several collections so hopefully my partner won't find me hard to shop for once everything gets underway.

Well I just got word we got approval!! Yay!!

have fun guys. i'm still at max swaps, as i'm still waiting on a package from one from last year.
that, and the time line is not good for me right now. hope there will be one in the fall too.
