You do. Everyone needs mib flutters. O.o.

No, all kidding aside, they genuinely display nicest in the box, somehow, and are easier to keep because of dust on loose wings. Even in my cabinet mine get dusty ><. The boxes help make them look so pretty, though. Reminds me of being a five year old and staring up at what to me then was a mountain of Flutter boxes...in complete awe of their pretty.

Yeah they are seriously so beautiful in the boxes even! I love the idea of vintage packaging, but usually feel like what ever is inside still displays better loose- but these flutters are certianly an exception!
I'll have to keep my eyes out for a MIB Rosedust now..

These mib flutters are so beautiful! Buttercreamdream, is $120-150 what you'd expect to pay for the others as well? Just curious as I have mib honeysuckle.

Here are some of mine. I had Lily and Honeysuckle as a kid, so yeah, I'm a big Flutter fan.

The second set flutters tend to cost more than the first MIB. And the UK boxed ones tend to be a shade more expensive than the US release ones, on account of the puffy sticker (as well as, maybe, rarity). At least from what I've observed on Ebay MIB sales in the last 6 months (because I am always looking for MIB flutters, even if I can't afford to buy them >.>)

As pretty as they look in their box - I could not bring myself to let them live in such small quarters ...  They need to run free and literally feel the wind beneath their wings!  :cold:

I love my Morning Glory (Morgenduft is her German name) as much as I love all my childhood ponies ... we had a lot of fun and that's how her wings got broken. But she still has her wings - even though she has two left (or right?) ones.  She's just a bit shy and does not really want to pose for pictures, although her color and hair is in very good shape after all these years ...

One picture before cleaning when my ponies moved from the attic to the new display room and one from her new home, always next to her best friend Sternlicht (Starry Wings).

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know why there's a "flutters divebombing" box and a "flutters standing elegantly" box?  My childhood flutters (US) had the "standing" box, but I've seen US flutters in the "divebombing" box as well.

The first set of flutters got 2 distinct releases - with different styles of box. If I remember correctly, the fonts on the box with their names are different as well (one is distinctly smaller than on the other box...cant remember which way round). It coincided with the mould change in the ponies :)

The why of it? Like the mould change, I dont believe we know why. But I would suspect something like a change in factory/manufacturing supplier. Hasbro did move production about quite a bit during the line.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
