now that its wrapping up, i can say that I'm excited to see it all in stores.   Ill be getting one of each non-pink non-mane-6 small brushables, but probably hold off on most everything else.  my sons want the battle armor stuff.  and my daughter wants a EG mini or two.    anything else?  maybe.

Either way, there is SO much greatness this year. I'm a sucker for the pearlized ponies (they are reminiscent of Glitter Celebration), the Sapphire Shores and Photo Finish fashion styles are a refreshing addition to the line, the mini figure sets are so damn cute (and bat winged royal guard! Yesssss...) and the Guardians of Harmony figures look really neat, especially the 'big' Spike and the Celestia and Nightmare Moon figures.
Not sure what to think about the Flurry Heart stuff though. I'm still kinda neutral on her though.

Wow!  There is really a lot to like here.  Those pearlized ponies, the Library tree, the Crystal Empire Playset, new Fashion Style and it looks like they are really running with the EQG Chibi figures.  I will definitely be excited to see these in stores!

My only gripe- is it just me or is there no Rarity in the pearlized ponies?  Isn't she an obvious choice to make into a pearlized pony considering the crystal empire episode?

Everyone is welcome on the Arena, despite whether they are actively collecting or not. There are many ways to enjoy ponies, and enjoy the Arena. Not everyone has to like all the new ponies that are coming out, and they are welcome to share that opinion.

I noticed that too. Maybe it's because she is white.

I'm going to try to keep my purchases down to only ponies I don't already have a version of.  No mane 6 or princesses!

 I might make an exception for *some* of the blind bags, any of the FS that are non-mane6, and the big dragon and Shining Armor, and Celestia and NMM.

I'm happy that we have another G3 character as a FS but I'm confused as to why that character?  Why not Minty, or Wysteria or any of the more commonly known or popular G3?

About Sapphire Shores?, well she appears at the FIM show and is an important character in a couple of episodes but she only shares the name wit the G3 pony as the G3 is pink wit light blue and white hair and a seashell symbol wit a 3d jewel, the g4 is yellow wit two tone blue colors in the hair and the cutie mark is just a single jewel
