Playing with your ponies

Ponies are great therapy! Brushing them is similar to petting an animal. We do all of the above.

I do play with the babies a lot in the Nursery in the traditional sense, ha, but for the adults, I just mainly like to treat them to spa days and photo sessions,.. play with / style their hair and maybe talk to them once in a while.

I sleep with one of my Peachys under my pillow and sometimes in my hand.  My husband is very patient and understanding.

Why would I spend money on collecting them if I didn't enjoy them?

I think its lovely that people can still enjoy ponies for their original function Alas I dont play with mine any more but they do get the occassional trip

I thought i was the only crazy people that talks to his ponies sometimes.I don't play with them like a child would do, but i surely take sometimes one off her shelf and pet her hair.It is so relaxing.I agree that ponies are a therapy.

Spa days is really the most "play" I do for my ponies. Occasionally I may pick them up, mentally coo over how pretty they are and sweep their hair back into place if need be but that's about it. As far as I'm concerned they are display pieces that will not be messed with much. Don't get me wrong I still love collecting them but I don't enjoy them the same way I did as a child, that's for sure. I wasn't extremely rough with my toys by any means but even looking back on how I played with them as a kid is enough to make me cringe. G1 Sky Rocket had a few baths, matted hair, thrown on the floor, ect.

I adore giving my ponies the spa treatments! I always curl and style their hair a lot till each one of them has a different hairdo. haha 
I also do change their posing and playset settings and take photos. Sometimes I grab them and tell my boyfriend to play with me and to take care of them letting them galopp through his head. And I only clean them whtn they're actually dirty / dusty, definitely not every time I touch them.

i don't play with them i have them in boxes at the mo and get them out once a year to brush and clean them and take photos of them if there is anew one added to the herd !

Not really, I wish I could spend more time with Twilight but soon as my family notices her they start their usual again.

  I still play with my loose ones, not very often but sometimes when I got time  But for sure I really enjoy posing them and make them some hair style and take pictures !!!  Ok I really have 6 yrs still!!  oh and what I do most: I talk to them  ok I may need a doctor

I don't play with them in the traditional sense. I will take down a favourite and just have her near me on the table as I work or game. Just a relaxing presence to have, expecially when you're having a bad day. A cheerful little pony to just pick up and hold, or maybe fix her hair can do wonders.

Oh, oh, this is what I do too! I was going to post about it but your post says it all Crow I get stressed very easily for a multitude of reasons, and having a pony beside me can really help.

I don't really play with them, although I love setting them up in playsets and taking pictures and kind of thinking about what they might be doing. Also like sometimes I'll take one down just to hold it and brush it's hair. I find pony spa pretty enjoyable too.
