Plush Seapony Octavia and Queen Chrysalis

Hi ponies,

Here are two seapony plushies I made recently (for PonyCon, but I didn't make it there so I still have them)

Firstly Octavia! I made her from crushed velvet, she feels so lovely and has a beautiful sheen to her. Her mane is black velvet with sparkles in. I really like how she has turned out

Next is Queen Chrysalis She is the first villain I have ever made. She is made from black velvet with sparkles in (the camera doesn't pick up how magical she is) her fins are made from hand dyed twinkle organza. I used chenille for her mane and I made her crown from craft foam and green jewels.

They are both very nice to hug I think I prefer velvet to minky as there are so many different finishes and textures.

They're both gorgeous, but Chrysalis particularly is amazing.  I love all of the little details and her wings/fins are spectacular!

Each fin is made from four layers of twinkle organza, I cut holes in each layer to look like Chrysalisis wings.

I used black velvet with a black sparkle in for Chrysalis. She is really black and shiny, which she wouldn't be if I'd used minky or fleece
