In Hungary, we call them 'Viziló', which would translate to 'Waterhorse' literally, however, what in english is 'seahorse', in hungarian it's actually called 'vizicsikó', that'd translate to 'waterpony'.

Here in England it's known as a grass verge, a green verge or just "verge". But how many people would actually know that I don't know

So did I.  Until I moved to America in 2012 and asked for paracetamol and only got a blank stare in return.  Glad to know it's also paracetamol in the UK.  Moving there at the start of next year, and I was a little worried I was going to have to learn a new word for it again.  Haha.
