Sold a pony and a clay figurine on ebay. They were listed with postage of $12 each (for international mail, hence the price). Gave the buyer a combined "shipping and handling" charge of $15. (Postage was $11, plus $2 for handling/materials, and $2 for insurance).

Buyer just left a negative for "overcharge of $8 on postage, no refund". Yes, I plan to dispute it and can hopefully have it removed. But not one worth the hassle. Apparently they expect to pay exactly what is on the postage stamp (even though I sent them a PM showing all the math that added up to the actual cost of shipping/handling - postage, tax, fuel surcharge charged by Canada post, insurance, materials) and they expect the seller to cover the rest of it.

You should be able to get that removed if they left a negative since you're able to charge shipping and handling. But why are they claiming that they were overcharged by $8 when the difference was $4? And they should have contacted you before-hand if they were worried about the shipping charges because if you said $12 each, then they should have been paying $24 for shipping. So, I think eBay will definitely be on your side. The buyer should be thanking you that you didn't charge them $24 for shipping.

*sigh*  With shipping prices getting so high, it's so frustrating how everyone wants to "blame the seller" but those are the costs!  UGH!

Yay, negative successfully removed!  I made very sure he understood that the buyer was lying about overpaying by $8.
