As ashlyne has said the long forelock is not a variation - its just that this set came with and without forelocks :) The one you spotted would have been a China made version of her. She is not a super expensive pony, but $1 for her would be a bargain! :)
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I didn't think Sweetberry ponies have any known variations, but a previously unknown Spain one wouldn't surprise me; the known Spain/NC ones kind of skip around through the years...

Actually, the one on the My Little Pony Scrapbook page doesn't show a forelock, either!

http://www.etherella.com/scrapbook2/raspberry_jam.htm

My Raspberry Jam (the one on that page, LOL) is made in China. Most all the ones sold in Europe don't have forelocks and are made in China (also Cherry Treats and possibly Blackberry Pie, unsure about her because I used to have a different one and I seem to have parted with her). I don't have the HK versions which is why there are only pics of the China ones on my page. As you can see my Cherry Treats is also forelockless:

And I had her from childhood.
The Blackberry Pie I still have is also forelockless:

Again, made in China.
Strawberry Surprise has curly hair so it shows less but she has no forelock either. The other two (Cranberry and Blueberry) weren't sold in the UK set.

The forelock being longer than her mane is not impossible. It depends how much longer. Three options occur.

#1 the mane has been cut but not the forelock.
#2 The roots of the forelock are loose and it's been stretched out
#3 it's a factory error.

This is assuming nobody rehaired it of course...

But if the forelock is same length as the rest of the mane, she's just normal issue for Europe :)

Blackberry/Boysenberry Pie is a unicorn, though.  I have her, too (US version), and mine doesn't have a forelock, either.  Were there ANY unicorns made with forelocks?   :what:

Hrm, that's a good point, I hadn't thought about that. That probably does affect things, although with it being a consistent set feature for the four here, I don't suppose she would've had one either way.

Baby Glider does have a forelock, but she is the only one I can think of right now.

I can think of several unicorns with forelock, but mostly nirvanas. Some newborn unicorns too. Red roses, Baby Glider as ChipsteRJ has mentioned,Baby Gusty from the Sparkle ponies and Baby Rainribbon.. But sure there might me more.

Yep, I forgot Red Roses but she definitely has a forelock. Pose is the same as Blackberry Pie, too, so it can't be the pose that dictates it.

Baby Glider's is kind of a set gimmick (albeit moreso in the Euro release as they all have different colour forelocks from their manes) so I don't know if she counts.

My childhood Rainribbon doesn't have a forelock as far as I can tell:

She has the curly/straight hair mix (which all our UK acquired ones have) but no forelock. Is it just the straight/silky version that has a forelock in her case? Every time I try and ask/talk about the rainbow baby variations people ignore me so I'm not really any better informed about them than I was in the first place.

My UK acquired Baby Sunribbon definitely has a forelock though, so it isn't a cross-set thing in this case.
