Anyone here on the arena who are subscribed to any? I just subscribed to Japan Crate, premium box for three months. It's gonna be soo much fun to try all those Japanese candies! :D I really wanted to get 1Up Box too but unfortunately they only ship to the US. If you know any boxes that are related to candy/snacks, video games, anime/manga, or toys, that ship worldwide, please tell me!

I'm subscribed to Arcade Block, a video game themed box that ships out of Canada. I've also done a couple months of Horror Block, which is by the same company (Nerd Block).

Subscription boxes are fun, but doing various swaps here have kept me busy from trying others.

I've always wanted to do a Japanese candy one, but my biggest worry was that i would get a majority of candy I've already eaten or that is available locally...

;) though I look forward to every one's posts. Maybe I'll find a box to finally subscribe to.

If you are interested in geeky subscription boxes, someone totally worth watching on YouTube is Johnny Tellez. He gets a lot of different boxes in and is quite entertaining. :)

I just subscribed to another one; Kawaii Box. :satisfied: Two at a time is more than enough imo. I'll probably try another one after those three months though.

ladybastilla: The Arcade Block boxes and the other ones from Nerd Block looks awesome! And they ship internationally! :D I definetly want to try one of them in the future. I'll also take a look at that youtube channel.

wiccanpony1: I don't collect POP figures but it seems great for those who do.

melodys_angel: Loot Crate looks awesome and they also ship internationally.

I'll update the first post with links to the boxes mentioned in this thread and others that I find.

I did Kawaii Box for about 6 months - Oct 2014 to March 2015 I think - and while I really, really love a couple things that I got, the majority of it I've given away.

I've kept their actual retail site bookmarked though, so if I see something cute I really want I can just order it.

I do miss the surprise in the mail though!  I may have to try a different kind of sub. box in the future.

I got a gift subscription of nature box for my bf.  You get to pick what snacks you get.  It was really good and thankfully he liked it.

I'd like to subscribe to one of the food ones or nerdy ones someday! I think they're pretty cool, but the randomness of them kinda turns me away because I can be picky.

My Little Pony Express is a limited monthly pony box you can get. They run an etsy shop but are currently not selling boxes (temporary hiatus) They offer different types of boxes.

Universal Yums is a monthly box where every month you get snacks from a different country.

Bark Box is a monthly subscription box that includes dog toys, treats, and gifts.

Those are the only other ones I know of.

I sorta want one of the many Pokemon loot boxes out there, but I'm always worried that I'll end up with a bunch of items I already have.

On the subject of these boxes though, does anyone have any pictures of their loot? I'd love to see what different companies give out! :)

One of the best ways to research the loot is to find the box(es) you want to look into and go onto YouTube. I spent a lot of time doing this before I settled on Arcade Block since they guarantee a t-shirt each month and have lots of size variety. In the ten months I've been with them I've received only two shirts I didn't care for. Also, some months are "double shirt months" and we get two t-shirts. They've done that twice since I joined in December last year.

Some of the shirts I've received include:

Two Legend of Zelda shirts: one with link pulling out the master sword, and one with him on the king of red lions.

Two Smash Bros shirts--One combining the Smash logo with font from GTA and one with the different Mii fighters.

One with Donkey Kong that says "They see me rollin' They hatin'" with him pushing a barrel.

A kingdom hearts shirt with Sora done in beautiful full color.

A shirt that blends Mortal Kombat and Final Fantasy by having FF monsters set up like they are in an arcade fighting game and the player is picking their character.

One of my random shirts was a Dr. Who sonic screwdriver shirt.

In my two horror blocks (one of which was a double shirt one) I received shirts for American Horror Story: Freak Show, Bride of Frankenstein, and Child's Play which are all really awesome.

Figure out what you want from your box--new food, gaming merch, t-shirts, beauty products, etc. and then find boxes that do that. From there, look up videos and reviews to get a feel for how each box works. Then, provided you find a box with a relatively good "makes me happy" rate, try it out. Good luck!

The only one I currently subscribe to is SkoshBox (JPN snack box), and I adore them- had it for a year now! I currently am on break from JapanCrate, but I love that one too! Although I always give away the DIY kits they would put inside them. xD I would buy the premium box so I'd get the neat drink included in the box.
Even thiugh I live in a major city and within 20 minutes of a huge asian market, I like how thanks to subcribing to the JPN snack boxes, i know what treats to get at those store now and not be afraid to waste my money. :D

I used to do KawaiiBox and had it for two months, but I stopped when I felt  that I liked what I got, but didnt LOVE what I got (that, and most of the stuff I would get, I'd never use - i STILL have a full box of stuff from them). I tried BentoBox (? - an anime figure subcription box; they are based in Japan) once, and although I liked some of the things I got, I felt like for $40 I could actually buy a figure that I really wanted. It was neat that they did give out things you wouldnt easily find in the states outside of a convention. That, and I will never forget the "kinder egg" situation with them. xD

At one time I considered LootCrate, but I felt like it was too much "random" as far as each month being a completely different theme. Plus, I had heard they arent as great as it used to be.

@Sora: ...there are Pokemon Subscription boxes?! I didnt know this!
Thank you so much for the adoptable, Corona! :D
