She's lovely but she's not on my radar right now. That said, I may seek her out in future, bright colours and tropical themes are right up my alley! :heart:

I have her and really enjoy her bright colors. She and her sisters never fail to make me smile. But I agree her name is quite eyebrow-raising. "Summer Heatwave" is a redundant mouthful, but it's still miles better than "Tootie Tails". "Sonnenschatz" is quite nice too, makes me think of juicy "sun sweetened" fruit.

Fun bit of trivia: Tootie Tails and the other Tropical Ponies took their names from another Hasbro line, the Tropical Fairy Tails. :) As part of the general MLP-n-Friends umbrella group, lots of Fairy Tail birds shared their names with pony predecessors, but it was unusual for it to work in reverse, especially for a whole line! Maybe Hasbro-US was feeling particularly uncreative that day? Who even knows with them... Anyway, the Fairy Tail birds all have "Tails" appended to their names. Sea Breeze Tails, Hula Hula Tails, and Pina Colada Tails all dropped the "Tails" gimmick when they crossed over, but Tootie Tails kept it for some unfathomable reason. If Hasbro didn't like the idea of a pony named simply Tootie, then "Tutti Frutti" seems like the obvious choice. However, given that there's already a similar UK/Euro pony with that name, I suppose we should thank Hasbro for the small mercy of sparing collectors that confusion. ;) I can totally imagine Tootie Tails being Tutti Frutti's loud, wild American cousin though. XD

Had her sisters (Hula Hula and Sea Breeze) as a child, one of my fave sets!  Love the bright colours.  Hoping to rehair a Tootie Tails with the green stripe first like she's pictured on the card :)
