Articulated Ponies!!!

OH MAN if i was a kid i would be ALL OVER those articulated ponies!  I mean they kind of look "less cute" but for ACTUAL PLAY, they would be amazing.  Not enough G4 poses?  Now there are infinite poses!  Also the swan boat?  Super cute

I'm still not sure about the wings... The way they are planted on Twilight are awkward to me and just the placement annoys me. Not fond of Fluttershy's either as they seem flimsy but I would have to see the finals in the stores

I hadn't noticed that, but you're right! That just makes me like them more.

I think each set has them doing something different. I don't mind that they did her again but they should have done Rarity first.

One is a "Winning Kick" Rainbow Dash figure and the other is a "Sightseeing" one.

so i bought some off ebay. probably paid more than they will cost in stores, but i want to see if they are something i can customize.

fluttershy has a trigger action, so i'm not sure if i'll be able to use her. probably either sell her or give her to my niece for Christmas. twilight is staying as is and coco will be the one i experiment on. *evil laugh* curious to see if they will take dye or if the code on the ponies are legit. still not even sure if you can take them apart. but i thought it was worth a try.
if anyone wants to know about the process i'll try to keep photo documentation, but i won't post it here unless asked, plus i'm not sure if that would be off topic. either way. very excited to get these girls.

Don't give up so easily. You might still be able to customize Fluttershy. I have taken apart one of the light up ponies once to customize and if those can be taken apart I'm sure Flutters can since it's probably not even electronic.

For dye you might need to use something like Rit iDye Poly. People have had lots of success with it dying dolls that never took dye well before.

Neat! I was wondering if they could be dyed, it'd be possible to do a ton of cool customs if they were. I'd love to see the results as well.

oh cool. yeah i have a lot of rit dye, but i'd be happy to try this one too. i want to turn fluttershy into flash sentry, and if it work, i'll get another to make into an oc. both are darker than yellow so dying should work.
i'll still use coco as my guinea pig. she gets to be baby blossom and a second one for baby stripes.
then they'll be part of my illustrious army. mwhahahah
