I don't collect the dolls But I admit that these are really cute!  And they come with great accesories.  I'm resisting so far, but if that Pinkie art class set gets made, I won't be able to resist.

I'm still resisting on buying these...

Moonbeamstar, if you ever want to get rid of that articulating RD I'd be happy to take her off your hands :P (I need to get one for science reasons.. though I'm sure someone has already taken apart one of these lol)

I've actually got a hold of basic AJ, Twilight, and Fluttershy and I also got slumber party Rarity and Pinkie Pie and I have to say I am utterly impressed by the detail of the accessories! Hasbro put a lot of effort into these compared to actual pony accessories  and these things are so frigging cute!!!!!! It's like the cartoon literally jumped out the TV screen!
Oh no!

I hope they have some kind of toy sale around Valentines, because I really want to get some of these before they're all gone. They seem to be selling really well.

I have all the slumber party girls except Pinkie. I haven't seen her in any stores around here yet. I will definitely track her down. I'm in love with all the accessories in these sets.

I love Fluttershy in these pics. Great posing! I managed to find Pinkie's slumber party set. I have all the singles and the sets now. I kinda went a little nuts but I just can't resist those cute little faces. Now I'm waiting for the next wave. *grabby hands at Sunset Shimmer*

Anyone having experiences with these dolls breaking? Some collectors said their joints are very fragile and I'm currently very hesitant to buy these if that is true.

Monster High arm joints are really fragile too. Assuming these are similar to MH joints, if you aren't too rough it should be ok.

I have all of the current minis and I've taken all of them out of their boxes. The Twilight Sparkle single was the only one I had issues with. Her left arm popped off at the shoulder and won't stay in place for very long unless I force it. Otherwise, I've had no issues. They're fragile but still worth it, imo.

I'm surprised they didn't take some lessons after the joint issues with the first EqG dolls.  Granted, you can only do so much when the figures are smaller than the dolls, but you'd think they'd make something that can take being played with. It makes you wonder how they even test these products.

I'm thinking the fragility is not a normal feature. Hasbro's QC is often non existent (toy companies in general are awful with QC lately what gives?). I suspect that usually they are no more fragile than a Monster High doll and the only way to make them sturdier would be to either make them stiff like the MH vinyls or make them look robotic.

I had problems with my basic Applejack (her thigh joint peg snapped right in half), and someone on the MH Arena bought a Pinkie Pie that snapped right out of the box.

This does seem to be a fairly common occurrence unfortunately.  Hopefully something that Hasbro will take note of and fix in the future.  However, I completely agree with Moonbeam that they are fragile but worth it (I have seven of these ladies and only the one Applejack broke).  The won't stand up to rough play, but as long as you're delicate with them they should be fine. :)
