Brekar vs MB Piggies mystery solved?

Hello all!

I need your eyes and opinions on something. Today while getting dressed I was looking at my ponies when I suddenly noticed something odd. My Piggy Perla (Snuzzle) is tiny compared to my piggies Peachy and Lemondrop.

I was surprised I hadn't noticed before! It looks so tiny and cute. And suddenly and idea hit my mind! I put my piggy Minty beside it and they are the same size!!

So I guess they way to tell the Brekar piggies from the MB piggies is that they are smaller! I have also noticed that the fringe on the Brekar piggies are longer and thicker that my MB piggies.

Does that make sense?

What's a a brekar pony? I wasn't aware there were two types?!

There were two releases of the piggy ponies, one set was made by Brekar and the second set made by MB.

Brekar released the original six and MB re-released the original six along with some other variations.

It is funny about the forlocks! I had noticed a difference, but hadn't been able to pin it down to either MB or Brekar.

I had no idea as to the size difference either all of my piggys are the same size.

I checked with some spanish collectors and they have different sizes too. But I'm not sure how accurate this theory is. :/ Krystal has a shorter Minty compared to both her Peachies. But then, one Peachy seems a little bit shorter than the other... *sigh*

Tomorrow we have a pony meet, and I hope some of them will bring piggies along, so I will take pics and see if there are more differences.

I think we did make some progress. One of the members of the spanish community brought with her two Blossoms (purple). She said she wanted to sell one and gave them to me to take a look... And they are so different!

One is bigger than the other, different body shade (could be faded, but I'm optimistic), different fringe, one has black eye lashes and the other white...

So I am still optimistic about my theory. I need to see more, and check it is no some sort of coincidence.

She isn't faded, there is a "pink" version and a "lilac" version. I had a sneaky feeling the pink version was a later issue.

Need to do a bit more reading

If my theory was right, which still needs deep investigation, the lilac one would be Brekar, and the pink one MB. So it would also make sense with your information.

Considering how other piggy ponies came, maybe one belongs to Brekar and the other three to MB? My brain is going to explode.
