Halmark.. No Ornament this year? Awwww!!!

I am super sad that they didn't release another collectors pose MLP.
I figured that we would see a snuzzle or minty or peachy or blossom.

Woulden't it be grate if they just released a gift pack of all the
collectors ponies?

Or if they had made glory, moondancer or firefly?

I hope we didn't see the last and only MLP Ornement.

I absolutely adore my Cotton Candy ornament, she is much nicer in real life than in pictures

Unfortunately, I don't see Hallmark releasing any more as she was part of a set with general vintage toys

I wish I had cought on a little earilr beacuse I would have loved to get em all. Transformers and all that. But last holiday season I had a ton going on new job moveing ect so maybe I can pick up a few here and there

And a MLP cotton candy for $7.50

I think they may have only had the rights to that one as a nostalgic thing. Like every year they have a selection of nostalgic ornaments (crayola, transformers, old toys).

I'm a Hallmark retail worker and I questioned my supervisor about it a while back and she said that "Hallmark does not have the rights to MLP but American Greetings (or Carleton Cards) does!". So AG/CC produces pony ornaments instead. That's who makes most of the pony ornaments you find these days!

If you're looking for G1 there was a thread recently about "Department 56" (?) that released some G1 related ornaments but the ponies are paired with those ugly snow babies lol

I must admit it is a bummer that there isn't a Hallmark G1 My Little Pony ornament to go with last year's Cotton Candy ornament, but I do find it strange that Hallmark is releasing a G1 Megatron ornament to go with last year's G1 Optimus Prime (which I have and I absolutely do plan on getting that Megatron ornament). Both My Little Pony and Transformers belong to Hasbro, so you would have thought that Hasbro would give Hallmark the rights to make more G1 Pony ornaments after releasing Cotton Candy last year.

And I am so kicking myself now for not getting that Cotton Candy ornament last year when I went into the Hallmark store. =(

I still need to get the G1 Cotton Candy ornament and the 25th anniversary Little Mermaid one. I don't have a Hallmark store near me anymore so I guess I'll have to head to Ebay when I get paid.

I'm just thinking it's only august and people are already obsessing over Christmas stuff.  I love the idea of a collector's pose ornament set! Maybe if we all email them and ask for something like that...

Boo! I loved the Cotton Candy one and hoped this would be the start of something bigger. Must have just been part of their retro toy-inspired ornament line from last year.

Wat!? D: How could they do this!!! They could have done Sundance, Firefly, anypony!!! The Cotton Candy last year was pretty popular! They were sold out at mine when I tried to get one for the ornament swap last year!

My mom got me the Cotton Candy ornament for Christmas last year and she is SO beautiful and perfect.  Sad to hear there won't be another one.

I am disappointed by Hasbro releasing another Transformer but not another pony . Of course, I am sure it was not Hasbro's decision, but still...

Maybe next year.

Last year after New Years day I was in the Hallmark store to buy my stash of Cotton Candy Ornaments, and there were tones left.  Not just a few, but LOTS.  At least 50+ of the Cotton Candy Ornaments on the shelf. 

Since there were so many left after the Holidays left to sell, that might be why we're not getting another this year.

Now, this is also Hallmarks fault - the ornaments, even at half price for the after christmas sale, were VERY expensive.  Which made me sad, since they were incredible pretty and were the best G1 reproductions I've seen.   If they weren't $13 CAD for one, at half price on sale, I would have bought a lot more.

So, from my very biased opinion, Hallmark priced them too high, few people bought them, hallmark decided, nope, not again this year.
