New Walmart exclusive blind bag set

Found this at Walmart today.  I don't know if we knew about this so thought I'd share it.  I didn't find a price on it.

I also saw Rarity's new playset.  I actually went and tried to scan it to see what the price was but it wouldn't come up so it's maybe not in the system yet.

None of those ponies are new, but that's still cool! Shining Armor has been one of the most HTF blind bags for a while now and I guess that's about to change. The two bully fillies are an odd addition, though, thematically...

I didn't know shining armor was rare! I have an extra haha! Is he worth a lot on eBay?

Not so much at this point, actually. Two three months ago, him and Cadance together was $20-$50. But he's been available from China lately--probably, because of this set--so the appeal has gone down. (Or maybe people were more interested in Cadance, idk, but I always assumed it was Shining Armor because Cadance has had plenty of other releases and he hasn't.)

Hmm I don't think I'll go for this one since I have most of them already, but I'm hoping this is the start of more BB sets. Maybe an all glitter one or something. 

Edit: I just glanced at my g4 shelf and saw the glittery rainbow of BBs they did already, but I can still hope for more glitter!

In a few days my store is getting a system update for fall items, maybe yours will too! They *might* be $19.96 retail like the G3 set. Perhaps they stuck it out on the shelf because it was the same price as the LPS next to it? Our telezones will show us the price on some of the new mods!

But LOL!!! Thanks, Walmart! Ponies we already have! xD In seriousness I do like the box!!! I dont have anything MIB for CMM with that box design for future nostalgia so I might pick one up!

IIRC, the G3 character blind bag set we had a long time ago at Walmart went on a big sale during pre black friday sale and christmas sales!! I might wait a little while!

I can understand why Shining was so rare!! His 3 pack set was hard for me to find! I recall seeing only a few of them back when these were out!

It's a shame that none of those ponies are new, but ah well. Oddly enough though, the Royal Wedding blind bag set was the easiest for me to find.

I'm pretty sure that's always been the point of these giant exclusive sets, and pretty much why I'm personally glad there's nothing new for me in there vs say, the TRU blind bag set from a year or so ago. Sorry, can't be bothered to buy a whole set for two new ponies and one recolour to look like Luna.

And yeah, I remember the Royal Wedding set was one of the very first I picked up. They seemed fairly common in Missouri, which is where I was at the time.

Interesting. Argos has some out of box photos of this set, though on the wrong listing, so I had wondered where the random assortment of blind bags had come from.

I'm surprised Applebloom isn't in the set! It's a nice set though. I would picked it up if I was just getting into blind bag collecting.

Oh no, another blind bag set I need.... lol I had forbidden myself from buying any more and was actually downsizing a ton on my more random blind bags, trying only to stick to G4 show characters and other absolute favorites. But now that they're making those ponyville playsets I know I wont stay off them for long. I need a proper way to display the little friends and then I'll surely be buying this, along with the new apple family ones!
