Besides MO are there any Sparkle pony variants?

I recently acquired another Sky Rocket on closer inspection the new one is missing the pat pend, it's not damaged in any way it really doesn't look like it was in the mold. The other weird thing the font sizing on the Hasbro 85 bit appears different. Almost like they were created in slightly different Hong Kong factories. Their colours are different but I'm aware these galbs change colour. Other strange thing is there appears to be a smaller glitter in the plastic of one

That is interesting.

I've seen them sold on card and in plastic, however I am unable to confirm whether the bags are the MO or non-MO. I'm pretty sure that I've seen the purple hair version in a bag, and I know the green hair version is a mail order, but the purple a store version, other than this  I have nothing more to contribute.

I only noticed that I have two different MO versions of Napper, with their hair in different hues of green:

I have two sky rockets with different colors, but so far it seems like one is just experiencing rust inside

No nirvana-y "proper" variants (other than the Brazil but not everyone would count them as different ponies after all) However they are a set with quite a bit of variety - pad pend/non pad pend, symbol sizes, body colour (although this is partially due to ageing issues). I imagine with an army you could have a pretty awesome selection of minor differences.

With all those differences Cat I'm going with different factories and/or their molds having to be redone quite a bit

They also got a couple of different releases MO split over a couple of years - will need to check leaflets to get you exactly how many and how far apart as I cant remember to hand. I would think that break in manufacture also caused some of the difference.
