Southeast Pony Meet 2015 - 5th Anniversary! (September 12 in Lawrenceville, GA)

Hello all my lovely fellow pony enthusiasts! I am proud to announce the FIFTH year of the Southeast Pony Meet! It gets better and better with each passing year and I have no doubts it will experience the same growth this year! It's so hard to believe it has already been so long since our first meet in 2011! I hope to see new people as well as good friends!    Since this year is a big anniversary I want to plan some really fun and special things to do. Let’s make this the best year yet!

DATE

September 12th at 9:30 am is when doors are generally open for those with tables. 10:30 doors are officially open!

WHERE

The meet will be held in the same clubhouse it has been in for the past years! It is located in Lawrenceville, Georgia which is about 30 minutes from Atlanta. There are plenty of tables for people to set their goodies and chairs for everyone to sit in. My house is right across the street and I am more than happy to have anyone stay the night if they would prefer not to drive home in the same day. Our doors are always open and we have plenty of sleep spaces. 

HOW IT WORKS

The past years I have paid for the venue out of pocket, however last year we raised enough money through raffle tickets to cover the cost to rent the clubhouse! This means there is no entry or table fee! All I ask is that if you can spare anything, to donate some kind of prize for the raffles to help raise money for next year

When time gets closer I will be taking RSVPs and please, I BEG, if you RSVP please be certain that you can go, especially if you reserve any tables! Walk ins are more than welcome as well, but I cannot guarantee we will be able to get food for you. However, there are plenty of fast food places and other restaurants around if we can't!

SCHEDULE

9am-10am: Set up
9:30am: Suggested time you arrive if you have a table to set up
10:30am: Doors open!
10:30am-11:15am: Meet and Greet
11:15am-5:30pm: Selling/Buying/Trading!
1pm: Lunch- Pizza!
3 pm: Games!
5pm: Raffle Ticket Purchases/Handouts
5:45pm: Raffle Draws
6:15pm-7pm: Clean up
7:45pm-9pm: After Dinner
9:30pm-12pm: Sleepover!

ACTIVITIES

Activities this year will be decided as time goes on! I want to do more games this year since there wasn’t really any last year. Please throw suggestions out for anything you might think would be fun! Or if you could provide any kind of activity.

-Panels-
I received a couple requests for this one! We have talked about doing these past years, however never got around to it. Does anyone have anything they would like to learn about? I could perhaps do another How to Perfume Puff/Rehair panel if there is interest, but that is the only expertise I could provide! Haha We have also had Iris Patch offer to host a little panel on how to make really simple felt plushes ^^
-Guess the Ponies in a Jar-
Brightglowpony has provided this every year and it’s always so fun!

Confirmed Activities
- Sleepover-
  Join us for fun games, show watching, drinks, and all around good time Saturday night at my house Be sure to bring a sleeping bag and pillow!
 -After Dinner-
  We will decide a restaurant as time gets closer. This will take place Saturday evening
  -Trading/Selling/Buying of ponies-
  Feel free to also bring other fun items as well ^^ Just make sure it is primarily pony
-Pony Trivia-
UroCyonFox is creating a super fun game of trivia for everyone to play! An awesome trophy will go to the winner!
-Cutie Mark Bingo-

DONATIONS/RAFFLES

Last year, donations were given through the purchase of extra raffle tickets for all the goodies attendees brought! All of these proceeds go to the next year's pony meet so I can buy fun stuff like game prizes and helps pay for the venue If anyone could bring any kind of raffle prizes that would be amazing! Let me know if you would like to donate one We will have a big table set out for raffle prizes and I will start a list of prizes to be donated for the raffle. Message me here if you would like to donate! I will love you forever if you do

Here is a small list I came up with and feel free to bring whatever you want! This is just a rough list and I may add things as I think of them. By no means do you have to bring everything listed! These are more suggestions than anything.

Forks, spoons, plates, or napkins
Drinks such as juice, soda, water, etc
Snacks
Any fun crafts you might want to do
Just things to share or show off!

FOOD
Food has always been difficult each year! I am determined to make this year the one where this aspect of the meet goes smoothly! Haha I am still trying to come up with ideas. I am leaning toward the idea of pizza once again, as it is a cheap and easy option. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to let me know! We sadly cannot cater to all food allergies, so be sure to bring some things you can eat just in case we don't have anything We have quite a large variety of food sensitivities in our small group so finding food that everyone can eat is quite the challenge

If you want to eat pizza with us for lunch, please plan to bring $5(for each person if you will have guests with you) to help pay for it. Thanks!

CHILDREN

I realize the subject of children is a picky one as some people are comfortable having them around while others are not. I, myself, am more than okay with children! If you need/want to bring a child along please make sure you let me know when you RSVP and let everyone else know by posting here or on Facebook. If we do have kids along I can assure you I will think of some fun things to keep them entertained, but please make sure they are watched at all times to respect others' wishes. I know a lot of people don't want kids running around and getting into things they shouldn't, especially if it's their collections and things they hold near and dear. Thank you so much in advance for your understanding!

Later in the month, the better for me, but count me as a VERY tentative yes.  Money shouldn't be an issue, but work is what is going to keep me.  I just got a new job at a restaurant that is very likely to be extremely busy, and the later in the month the better as the first three months are usually the busiest and getting off for a weekend may be difficult.

I want to make name tags again! especially if there are new people ^^ Any ideas for designs? Also please remember to bring your own lanyards if desired. I'll bring one food item. So far I have one awesome raffle to contribute (signed Susanne Riett-Keith print). Hopefully I'll have a few more by then.

Oh yes! That would be so awesome I just cold laminate them but if you have all the goodies would you mind if I just designed and print/cut them all out and mail them to you so they are ready for the meet?
