Mail Order UK release G1s?

Tell me more, anyone, I've just seen a Music Time still sealed in her bag, it has rather surprised me as I had no idea they were sold any way other than on cards or boxes... please does anyone know more about MO releases?? Thanks!

Pretty sure there was no MO release for Musictime in the UK. We had some store sold ponies on MO release but she is not one of them. MO is not a common form if distribution here and I am pretty sure cards didnt have points on bybthe time Musictime was out...

However at the end of the line there were surplus ponies sold in clear baggies. Most of these I am aware of came from US surplus, and were dispersed through odd outlets, including market stalls. Some had card labels in grey with the rainbow on, some had just a clear bag. Slumber Party ponies and later US mo ponies + birthflowers have been found like this.

I have seen a Spring Song in bag which I assume is the same, perhaps Musictime is too. I have a baby Nightcap in a bag which came inside a French boxed Kitchen set at the end of line. I haven't heard of a similar thing with Musictime but maybe surplus School ponies were bagged and shoved in clearance school sets...

To my knowledge we had these Mo ponies:
Baby Lucky
Magical Breeze (MM Windy)
Pony Bride
Dance School + Pony

I feel like I missed someone,..

We had the club babies + baby ribbons and hearts who was offered through the club and was sold off after, generalbelief was she may have been a club baby for a club year that never ran in 1992.

Was she an extra in a playset? I know the spring song in the bag was a release with the bath tub? Her and I think sunny bunch were "extras" with either the bed or the bath tub I can't remember which.

Was music time an extra with the school house? Wasn't she on the box for it?

Taff, you missed the talking ponies! Offered at the same time as the others in the last club issue.

I've also not come across Music Time as a mail in offer, but couldn't rule out end of line (though typically those have been US issue ponies)

There were no official ponies with the School but it doesn't mean a store didn't have a special offer with one or make an arrangement with Hasbro to get rid of surplus. Snuzzle and baby bow tie's stroller in argos springs to mind...

My guess would be this, honestly. A store at end of line putting freebie ponies in ponyless playsets to get rid of excess stock.

Similar to the kitchen set that, in some stores, was released with an accompanying pony (normally Sweet Delight), the school house was also packaged with a pony depending on where and when it hit shelves. I have only ever heard Art Time found this way however...but I would say its perfectly possible Music Time was included there as well. Maybe thats the source for this girl?

Once a name is my head I really struggle to change it (naughty Cat) Still have to correct myself when typing Tootsie as she was Lollipop for my entire life until I first came online and discovered her real name. I should point out that was even with a purse that had "Tootsie" on the front and the MLP comics from my corner shop

Lol I guess you didn't have the songtape/disc as a kid then? I always have the toot toot tootsie girl song refrain in my head when people talk about tootsie. Childhood can be damaging...

It took such a ridiculously long time to stamp those names - along with Baby Pearl, Narcissus, Baby Satchel, Cloverleaf...out of general online ID that I think it drove me a bit (more) peculiar. Even with MOC images.

Yep. I have a big twitch about those . But most of all, Art Time, because as far as I know there is nothing canon to suggest where that name came from originally. Other than DV.
