Does it exist?
« on: May 07, 2015, 09:47:58 PM »
I'd like to see SS Sundance with nice flocking. Show me yours! Mine has really thin and grubby flocking and all the ones I usually see on eBay are not much better. Is it possible to get a fluffy, white one? And how much would I have to pay?
Thanks devonshireRed for the avi!

I sure haven't seen one!  Unless I'm mistaken (and that's entirely possible!), SS Sundance was only produced with the shorter flocking kind of like Bangles.  I'm not sure any of them were ever fluffy although surely they were white at one point!

That's so strange because I have only seen really nice ones.  All the ones I've seen in person are much nicer than the average for so softs.

But yeah, mine is mint.  But unfortunately you'll have to take my word for it because she's currently in Australia, and I'm in the US.

I've seen her for sale before (I think about a year ago someone here was selling a complete set of her and she was *pristine*), but mine is pretty grubby :)  The flocking's thick, but worn on the hooves, ears and lips and she's pretty dingy.  She is my SS Sundance from childhood, though, so she's with me for the long haul :)

Here's mine:

The flocking is pretty discolored, but there's practically no rubbing or bald spots anywhere.
Looking for these two little Soma fakies:

Well that makes sense that she is one of the thinner flocking ones to begin with. Thanks for that information Aadra!

And moonflower, she is amazing!! So white!

Ooh! I love that perfect, white flocking! I think Sundance is such a darling pony and the so soft one is extra cute.
Thanks devonshireRed for the avi!

I don't know if this is the case hun :( In my experience so far with all the Sundances I've come across with issues- plastisizer leakage/cancer is common. It leads to brown discoloration and nastiness in the glue. I've tried to save some so soft Sundances with a good cleaning or deflock but her issues always came from under it all in addition to the short flocking/dirty white that she tended to suffer from :( Not only that, the glue is so stubborn and just WILL NOT come off T_T

I dunno if anyone else would benefit from knowing this but I had to pipe up.

I guess a nice so soft Sundance just isn't easy to get a hold of....

Ahhhh! She's standing on the reins!  :scared:
Had a real horse moment there when I first saw the pic.  That is one gorgeously white fuzzer! :P
