Welcome to pony collecting!

Those links are a great compilation of cross generational ponies, though I think there are a few more ponies that could be added.

I do have to say that I think G1 Glory should get some mention as an inspiration for Rarity in addition to Sparkler.  And even though I know that Posy was supposedly the inspiration for Fluttershy,  I can't help but think that Faust might have also had Dancing Butterflies in the back of her mind, too.


I think of Flutterbye, name and butterfly symbol and species all fit but then that might have been Hasbro's inspiration for G3 Fluttershy and it all came from there too...

I agree 100% on Glory and Rarity. I would have guessed Glory was the inspiration if one of my ponymad students hadn't insisted on printing out the concepts for me!
