Wow, great work! That Luna is stunning!  Is there an armature under there somewhere?

Yep! Here's one picture of it:

I bulked it out with a bit more tape and foil after this picture, and added wire for the appendages I'd forgotten.

Nice work!  Have you used this stuff before?
http://www.amazon.com/Activa-Products-24-Inch-Crafts-Small/dp/B001DJ1SDA/ref=sr_1_24?ie=UTF8&qid=1431023713&sr=8-24&keywords=armature+wire

It is WAY cheaper by the roll- but it is really amazing- it is super bendy strong wire mesh, I really love it!

Wonderful work, Luna is simply gorgeous! I love your unique style and ponies with feathered feet always catch my attention. ;)

No, I haven't tried that before, but it certainly looks useful! I'll have to get some to try with my next project for sure.

My most recent sculpture, the Gypsy Vanner :)  He's my first try at realism, as well as my first use of mohair.

You're so good at this! I think Sonata is my favorite. She's like a Calvin and Hobbes comic, you can see the movement even if it's not moving.
I'll put something here some time
